Got these yesterday, well worth the money. I bought 3 because I know my friends are going to want one when they see it so I'll sell one and keep 2 for myself.
These things are kinda odd. They come with NY fats on them and if you press the cap halfway you will get a line about 1/2 inch and if you press full youll get a normal NY fat sized line. Flairs fine. The low/high pressure isn't as smooth as say a can of Belton or Gold but I'm starting to get a feel for it and even at full pressure an outline cap will come out much slower than the stock PT cap giving you more control so you don't have to go super fast to do outlines without drips.
There is absolutely no leaking except be careful when taking the adapter off because a little paint will dribble out of the stem on the can. Same goes for then pulling the 2 cans apart when you're mixing colors.
Mixing colors is sooo easy and no mess. I tried it first for like an hour wondering why only a little bit of paint was going into the other can then I remembered the old school method of freezing one can to lower the pressure. So I put the receiving can in the freezer for 10 minutes and sure enough when I put the cans back together I heard the sound of paint gushing into the bottom can and got this nice plum color from a 1/3 can of aqua blue and 1/3 can of raspberry pink.
These things are well worth the money and in the end will pay for themselves considering you won't have to rely on $6 paint for decent colors and quality paint.
Ok Sekt, I'm expecting my check in the mail any day now. |

I get all of my fats off of the 3m glue cans. but they usually spurt a little because of the glue. so this is very good
edit: shit are those females? the only wides I have are NY wides. |

Alright so I finally went and did a piece yesterday using these things. I found out that because the caps sit so high off the can that my wrist began to cramp much quicker than usual. It normally takes about 2 hours for that to happen but yesterday it took maybe 30 minutes and today my wrist hurts too much to even press a cap.
So they work but the amount of pressure needed to press the cap is really high and the line quality is subpar. Last night I discovered a free solution than I think works far better. You can simply transfer paint from a PT can into an old krylon or colorplace can and avoid the adapter altogether.
PT paint is good quality but the cans are way too high pressure and the high sitting cap makes painting a not so pleasant experience. I also wasted about 10 bucks on a piece that came out like shit. |
